Construction at the following address is anticipated to begin January 14, weather dependent:

Construction on average is anticipated to take up to 5 days, starting with demolition of the existing sidewalk, removal of minor tree roots, followed by placement of the forms for new concrete, and completed with the pouring the new sidewalk.
Please note: even though a tree at a sidewalk construction property is not currently slated for removal, it may need to be removed after sidewalk demolition and the full root system is visible. In these cases we will use an independent certified arborist to determine whether or not the tree can survive the root removal required to complete the sidewalk repair. If the tree is determined as needing removal, it will need to be removed immediately, including stump grinding, in order to continue with the sidewalk construction. In any case where a street tree is removed as part of the sidewalk program, a replacement tree will be replanted after construction is complete. Please note: due to the rainy weather expected the week of January 7th, the properties scheduled for that week may experience some delays and construction may continue into the week of January 14th.
