On Thursday May 27, at 9:00 pm through Friday, May 28, at 10:00 am, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be closing the entire 101 NB Central San Rafael Off Ramp for the installation of K-rails and shifting of traffic to the temporary bridge. After this bridge closure, there will be three lanes open to traffic on the temporary bridge.
The contractor will be working diligently to open the off-ramp to traffic as close to 8:00 am as possible, but their current phasing schedule has them opening the bridge at 10:00 am.
Detours will be in place. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs. Residents and businesses may temporarily experience increased noise levels during this operation.
