Administrative Order: Falkirk/Menzies camping prohibition (Temporary)
On July 27, 2023, the City Manager of the City of San Rafael issued an Administrative Order temporarily prohibiting camping in or on non-Open Space portions of the Falkirk Cultural Center and Menzies Parking Lot, in the City of San Rafael. This Order is effective through August 31, 2023, unless otherwise extended. This Order was issued pursuant to the authority of the City Manager, under San Rafael Municipal Code section 19.20.080(C), to “absolutely prohibit camping at any time in one (1) or more specific parks where such prohibition is determined to be a threat to the public, health, safety, or welfare.”
