SMART’s contractor anticipates finishing up the work at Andersen Drive and Francisco Blvd West by the end of the day on June 29th, 2018. Prior to completing this work, the intersection, and rail crossing will need to ground and resurfaced. This work will take several days to complete and will require full closure of the intersection. The City is working with SMART to further define any detour routes. SMART’s contractor is considering closing the intersection at night to avoid significant impact to the public. The decision to pave this area at night should be made in the next week. For now, the public should anticipate significant delays and closures at the Andersen Francisco West intersection from June 25th to June 29th and consider alternative routes away from this area.
