The Business Improvement District (BID) & the Downtown San Rafael Arts District (DSRAD), is proud to announce an art beautification matching grant given out to 4 (or possibly more) Downtown Businesses!
Overview: The DSRAD is one of 14 certified Cultural Arts Districts within the State of California. The Cultural District program is managed by the California Arts Council (CAC), who awarded the DSRAD grant funding. As a DSRAD stakeholder, the BID created this matching grant project to give some of these funds to downtown San Rafael businesses to complete projects that will beautify our streets with art in Downtown San Rafael.
By investing in art for Downtown through this art funding, we not only beautify our cityscape but also establish a legacy of cultural enrichment, fostering pride and connection among residents and businesses. We are seeking downtown businesses that have ideas on how they can beautify their buildings or businesses through ART. Do you have a mural idea? Do you have a sculpture idea? Submit your proposal by April 30, 2025 for consideration!
