On August 16th, the San Rafael Social Justice Community Art Group in collaboration with Youth in Arts and Lead Artist, Orin Carpenter presented the art mural “Regeneration” to the City Council. The mural represents the culmination of a year of work and community outreach. Ten youth artist were paid stipends, mentored by YIA and Orin, and collaborated on the mural which represents concepts around the words, “Liberty, Freedom, and Justice.” The City Council unanimously approved the art mural which will be installed in Arbor Park this fall.
