The County of Marin’s Department of Cultural Services, in partnership with the Marin Cultural Association, the Marin Coalition for the Arts, and arts leaders from all over Marin County, is developing an Arts and Culture Master Plan for Marin. The purpose of an Arts and Culture Master Plan is to create a common vision for the role that arts and culture should play in Marin County, as well as to ascertain what pieces of that vision can guide policy and programming to enhance the quality of life for the community. To make this happen, community arts planning forums have been planned throughout Marin County, including one this Saturday, October 13, at Youth in Arts, 917 C Street, San Rafael, CA 94901. We want to know what you value most about arts and culture in Marin, what you hope to see them become, and your ideas on how we can get there, together.
