Coronivirus (COVID-19) Update: Parks, Curbside Retail, & Firesafing Your Home

Happy Friday, San Rafael!  Today, the County Health Officer issued an updated Parks Public Health Order that supersedes the order issued on April 29. Under the new order, certain parks and open spaces in Marin County will allow motorized vehicle access again, effective May 18. This means you will now be able drive to some of your favorite trailheads to enjoy the outdoors. Not all areas are open yet, so please check this list before heading out the door.   … Continued

Guidance for Curbside Retail

The County of Marin issued a new public health order today with guidance for retailers. Starting Monday, May 18, 2020, retailers will be able to reopen for curbside pick-up and delivery only. New Stop Sign Installed

The Paint & Sign crews have turned what previously was a 2-way stop at First & E street into a 4-way stop.

Graffiti Removal

Graffiti has been more active since the shelter-in-place, so the Paint & Sign crews have been very busy with removing graffiti all over town.  

Vegetation Managment

The Parks Department completed vegetation management projects around the City this week.  The areas included the sides of Oakwood and Maywood Drive in the Sun Valley neighborhood well as a stretch of medians out on Point San Pedro Road.
