Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the City Council will consider a 5% fee increase for the City’s child care program. The fee increase would cover augmented staffing and operational costs of our seven child care centers and Parkside Preschool. If approved, the new fees would be effective July 1, 2017.
Every year, the City allocates federal housing funds to projects that serve low-income residents such as housing renovation, community facilities, capital improvements, and human service programs. At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the Council will consider a recommendation to the County to allocate $375,379 for countywide housing programs, curb ramp improvements and plumbing upgrades.
