On Monday evening, the City Council will consider adopting an update to the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. This plan helps guide improvements and set priorities to make it safer and more comfortable to bike and walk throughout San Rafael. Since the last update in 2011, over 7 miles of bike routes, bike lanes and multi-use paths have been built. The new update proposes 109 projects, including 2.9 miles of sidewalk improvements, 33 improved intersections, and 13.1 miles of bikeways.
