Bungalow Ave project update

Posted on June 20, 2022

.

Construction on the lower Bungalow Ave. section from Woodland Ave. to Picnic Ave has started this week.  This project will extend the current width of the roadway, while removing steep gutters, improving the overall safety of the street.  This area will be closed to traffic during work hours Monday – Friday from 7AM – 5PM.  The road will be re-opened nightly except for during paving.  When paving begins, the road will need to remain closed to traffic.

PG&E was in the field gathering measurements for the project yesterday.  The electrical work is dependent on PG&E’s schedule which is typically much busier during the Summer months.  Even still, PG&E is working with the City to align our project timelines.  The pole relocation is projected to take place around late July or early August.

Precision Concrete continues to shave concrete offsets along the second half of the Bungalow Ave. loop.  Vehicle and pedestrian acccess will be allowed through, but may be subject to short delays.
