Bungalow Avenue – PG&E gas line and sidewalk shaving

Construction work on the Bungalow Ave loop is getting closer to the finish line!  PG&E began their emergency gas-line work a few weeks ago and should be wrapped up by the end of this week.  The City’s contractor, Ghilotti Bros Inc. (GBI) will be returning to begin work on the final section of concrete work.  The City has also entered into an agreement with Precision Concrete to shave offsets in the vehicular concrete, reducing hazards along the road for vehicles and pedestrians alike.  Precision Concrete’s work will follow once GBI is finished and will shave the remaining concrete offsets around the full concrete loop.  The lower section of Bungalow Ave from Woodland Ave to Picnic Ave (shown in blue) will be resurfaced as part of a roadway widening project later this summer. This project is currently in the design phase that involves removing the steep gutters to improve safety for all users. The schedule is dependent on PG&E coordination for the relocation of two power poles.
