11/11/18 – 2017 Storm Damage Repairs Update – 70 Irwin

The City’s contractor Valentine Corporation has nearly completed the work in the backyards on Glenaire Drive and they have started working on the third retaining wall on the hillside. The City is building a series of four retaining walls to stabilize the hillside and protect Irwin street during future winter storm.

10/18/18 – Landslide Repair – 70 Irwin

Work is moving quickly at 70 Irwin; this week the City’s contractor Valentine Corporation started installing MSE block walls at the bottom of the hillside that was also the scene of a landslide during the winter of 2017. Installation of these two block walls marks the beginning of the long-awaited hillside restoration.

10/19/18 – Mudslide Repair – 80 Upper Toyon

This week the City’s contractor Maggiora and Ghilotti finished installing a CIDH retaining wall and repaving the roadway at 80 Upper Toyon.
