Updates to City Hall Hours on Fridays in July and August

Inspection & Construction Hours

We strive to provide excellent customer service through the building inspection process by verifying minimum requirements to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare through structural strength, sanitation, adequate lighting and ventilation, green building, and energy conservation; safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the built environment; and to provide safety to firefighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.

Morning inspections are scheduled between 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and afternoon inspections are scheduled between 1:00 - 4:00 PM. You may schedule multiple inspections during a call for the same permit number.  To schedule a Building Inspection; click here.

NOTE:  Your request to schedule an inspection will be denied if fees are due; your permit has expired; and/or there is a hold on the project.

Use your inspection record card as a guide to scheduling inspections. The card is organized by inspection type and will list inspection codes as they are normally sequenced for your project.  Inspection requests are automatically entered into our system at 6:00 AM each inspection day.  Any requests called in after that time will be scheduled for the following inspection day.

Your permit will expire if no inspections are performed within 180 days of issuance or if work is abandoned for more than 180 days, as evidenced by no approved inspections and you will not be able to schedule an inspection.
