To help alleviate some of the traffic issues in the southbound direction on D St. from 3rd to 2nd St., members of the Streets Division did early morning tasks to do grind down work on existing thermo as well as restripe a secondary lane to allow cars to flow across 2nd street to help curb traffic issues and delays. In order to add a new right thru lane, the crews had to eliminate 3 metered parking spots as they had to shift the lane over a bit in order to allow enough room. Additionally, new arrows were added on to C St. as well.
