MTF Pkwy and Redwood Hwy street repair 1

treets Division staff repaired an area of concern located at the intersection of Manuel T. Freitas and Redwood Hwy this past week. A tree root was causing major uplifting of the roadway, curb, and gutter area. Early one morning, crews with the Streets Division began work to remove the damaged roadway and large root ball.  They then backfilled with base rock and re-paved the area, as well as repairing the curb and gutter with asphalt. In the photos, here you see Streets Maintenance Lead Kenny Gatlin along with Maintenance workers Arturo Tinoco, Jeremy Quintal and Matt Gaehwiler during various stages of the repair work.
