The Engineering group is continuing to work hard (while sheltering in place at their homes) on multiple essential public works design and construction projects. We have implemented several ways to stay on track and check in with each other. The team has followed management’s recommendation to track time through a Telework tracking spreadsheet. In addition, we create weekly work plans with estimated hours to ensure everything continues to be completed on time. Microsoft Teams has become the go to tool to communicate and share screens during our multiple conference calls a week. The Public Works team is also working on outreach and messaging to our community to show them that we are still serving the public with our essential public works projects and here to address resident’s concerns.
