Downtown Mulching Project
The City of San Rafael will be partnering with the Business Improvement District to continue mulching downtown. Join us Friday, December 1st, for a fun and engaging day of community service!
Mulch can be used to beautify planting areas and suppress weeds. It also performs a number of ecological services, such as reducing herbicide use, improving water retention, and building soil vitality.
This event is performed in concert with the City’s Sustainability Department, which seeks new ways to combat climate change and engage passionate volunteers. Will you be one?
Please note: this event is limited to volunteers over the age of 16.
If light rain is forecast, we plant to proceed with the event. In the event of heavier rain, we will cancel the event and notify all registrants.
