San Rafael Fire Department Explorer Program
Explorers will get the chance to learn alongside San Rafael Firefighters about the proper use of equipment and tools, ladder techniques, wildland firefighting procedures, and more. The team meets twice per month on Sundays from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and includes drills, community service projects, and fire training.
Young people of all genders, ages 16 to 20 are welcome to join. Color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, economic status, or citizenship are not criteria for participation.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 16-20 years of age.
- Have an interest in Firefighting
- Great attitude and work ethic
- No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn!
How to Apply:
The SRFD Explorer program accepts new members twice a year in January and June. If you're interested, fill out and submit the interest form below! A Firefighter Advisor will get in contact with you during the next open registration time to guide you through the application.
