Fifth Avenue New Signage Placements

Posted on August 7, 2020

.

Throughout the City, our staff have been working hard to update and maintain the marking and signage on the roadways. Recently, our striping contractor has been updating the crosswalks and other various striping along Fifth Avenue to make them safer for pedestrians and visible for motorists. Paint isn’t the only thing that helps with visibility and signaling drivers of crosswalks ahead another is signage. Tyler Nord, Matt Von Bima,Trevor Thomas, and Brendan Smith were tasked to move all signage at the crosswalks to new locations as updates were happening. The sign placements help signal to drivers that there is a crosswalk ahead. This is one of the few ways to make the area pedestrian friendly. One of those changes is located at Fifth Avenue at River Oaks
