Project Progress
During the month of September, Alten construction prepared the Classroom Building for a concrete slab placement. During the preparation, the contractor placed the slab rock, 15 mil vapor barrier, slab rebar, still anchor bolt plates and all utility stubs. After the pour the contractor cured the slab by flooding it with 2 to 4-inches of water. The Contractor also installed all the Helical Anchors and foundation rebar for the Fire Station Building. Prior to installing the Helical Anchors the contractor surveyed the locations of each anchor assuring they were centered with the CMU wall, this was doubled checked by the sub-contractor. The Classroom concrete slab and the Helical Anchors at the Fire Station Building all passed inspection testing (slump test, temperature test, cylinder breaks and tension tests).
