The project was presented to the California Transportation Commission on December 5th and was approved for federal funding allocation. Once we receive clearance from Caltrans to proceed with the project, we will be advertising for bids, which is anticipated by mid-January 2020. The project is on schedule with a proposed construction start time of early summer 2020. A construction window of 9 to 11 months is expected.
Note that the construction will be conducted in phases so as not to disrupt the entire project length all at once. There will be some temporary traffic diversions at some phases, to include detours, and some of the construction work will be conducted at night to minimize daytime traffic congestion. More details of the traffic management plan will be disseminated as it’s finalized and as construction time approaches.
