Fresh bark added to several city parks

Every couple of years for the parks that need it, a fresh layer of playground bark is added.  The bark is ASTM Certified Engineered Wood Fiber and is engineered for fall protection.  It is safer than sand to use underneath the playground structures.  The bark contains no metal or toxic residues and meets ADA, ASTM, and CPSC playground surfacing standards.  So not only does it look great, but it’s also safer too!  Bret Harte Park, Ranchitos Park, and Santa Margarita Park (shown in the picture) all received a fresh layer of bark.
