On June 7, 2021 the City of San Rafael City Council held a special presentation recognizing June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Pride Month.  The City of San Rafael has a diverse LGBTQ+ community and is committed to supporting visibility, dignity, and equity for all people in the community.  June is a time for the City to celebrate the dynamic LGBTQ+ community, raise awareness of quality services, and foster a dialogue to promote healthy, safe, and prosperous school climates and communities for all.

A proclamation was read by Mayor Kate and accepted by City of San Rafael employee, Lynn Murphy who accepted the proclamation on behalf of the community.  On June 8th, the Progress Pride Pride Flag was raised at City Hall will remain until the end of the month.
