Recent Zoning Amendments 

The City of San Rafael has amended the San Rafael Municipal Code, specifically the text in selected chapters and sections of Title 14 (Zoning Ordinance). No changes were made to the City’s zoning maps or current land use districts. The draft document was reviewed by the Design Review Board and Planning Commission and passed by the City Council.

Current Status:
The zoning amendments were adopted by the City Council on June 16, 2014 (Second Reading of Ordinance). The ordinance went into effect 30 days following its final passage (second Reading), i.e., on July 16, 2014.
