The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin the second of three 55-hour weekend closures for the 101NB Central San Rafael Off-Ramp Bridge Replacement project. The second closure will start on Friday October 22nd at 10pm and reopen on Monday October 25th at 5am. During this closure Caltrans will be constructing the approach slabs for the new bridge, roadway excavation and installation, pavement striping, and installation of concrete barriers. If you would like to familiarize yourself with the proposed roadway detours, images can be found on the Caltrans project website. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs.
On Monday October 4th Caltrans will make a presentation on the 55-hour closure during the 7pm City Council meeting.
