Due to extreme fire danger, all open space areas in the City of San Rafael were closed on November 16, 2018. On Friday, December 7, 2018, the open space areas were reopened due to low fire danger.
Regardless, fire danger in open space remains a real threat, and you can help the San Rafael Fire Department and Police Department to help protect our community and preserve open space from potential fires.
How to Report Open Space Fire Hazards
- Emergency – Call 9-1-1.
- Urgent, but not non-emergency – Call (415) 485-3000 (this line is answered 24/7)
