As we enter the winter season one of the projects that the streets department takes on is cleaning ditches. Some of the reasons we clean them are to make sure there are no obstructions and to create room for new sediment to gather. As you can see in the attached photo, we used a skid steer (operated by Matthew Gaehwiler) to push material to the crane and load the material in the truck. This location is called Castlewood ditch and is located next to Glenwood school. This ditch receives a lot of water throughout winter, and thanks to the hard work of the Streets Division crew we will be prepared for the winter ahead.
