At Monday’s meeting, the City Council will present a proclamation to recognize former Planning Commissioner Jack Robertson, who recently retired after having served on the Planning Commission for nearly eight years. During his tenure on the Planning Commission, Jack contributed to the long-range planning of the City through his participation in the review and action of various updates to the City’s General Plan, Climate Change Action Plan 2030, Downtown Station Area Plan and the Civic Center Station Area Plan, and the City’s Zoning Ordinance. He also reviewed numerous development projects that will have a lasting impact on the community, including the San Rafael Airport recreation facility, Northgate Mall, Marin Academy Science Center, and more. We greatly appreciate Jack’s eight years of service on the Planning Commission.
