Although we are enjoying this beautiful summer weather, it’ll be autumn before we know it, and the rains will return. The Public Safety Center project team is making sure they are prepared for the rains. This includes ensuring the building envelope is water-tight. The roof installation has started in some areas and will continue for another six weeks. The exterior of the building is now covered with a gray layer of fluid-applied waterproofing membrane. The window openings are also being prepared for the installation of the glass. Many other activities are taking place inside the building. Security ceilings are being installed in the basement and door framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment are going in on all levels.
Take a look at the sequence of photos showing major milestones. It’s amazing how much work has been done.
