The Department of Public Works is piloting a new online permitting system through OpenGov!
This user-friendly platform will make it easier for community members and contractors to find information and apply for the following permits:
- Encroachment Permits
- Grading Permits
- Transportation Permits
- Water Course and Tideland Permits
The tentative launch date for Encroachment, Grading, Transportation, and Tideland permits from eTrakit to Opengov is scheduled for May 1st 2025.
- All of the permits applied for prior to the launch date will be completed on eTrakit and permits applied for after that date will be processed on Opengov.
- Applicants can setup and account here: https://cityofsanrafaelca.portal.opengov.com/sign-up if they want to prepare for future submissions.
- Applicants will be able to apply for permits here: https://cityofsanrafaelca.portal.opengov.com when the system is officially launched.
