Freitas Park Water Feature – Hours of Operation

The Freitas Park Splash Pad is open seasonally between Memorial Day and Labor Day, during the hours of 10:00am-6:00pm. During the operational season, the Splash Pad is on an automatic timer system. To enjoy the splash pad, hit the button near the entrance! The water will turn off automatically after a period of time.

Yes, typically one side of the roadway will be closed for several hours while the resurfacing mixture is applied and dries. Every two years, we hire a consultant to inspect and rate the condition of every city-maintained roadway.  The consultant then calculates each roadway segment’s “Pavement Condition Index” (PCI).  The PCI for each road is an initial starting point for us to identify roadways to include in upcoming resurfacing projects. How much will the project cost?

The estimated costs of the proposed project is $500,000, of which approximately half will be subsidized with a federal grant and the City contributing the remaining half.

When will the work be completed?

The City anticipates advertising the project in January/February 2020 to solicit construction bids with construction planned to begin in late Spring 2020.
