Request for Proposals – Downtown Library Renovation Project

The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit fee proposals for qualified contractors to construct the Downtown Library Renovation Project. The City will only receive proposals/bids from PREQUALIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS, who participated in phase 1 (RFQ) and advanced to Phase 2 (Bid/proposal). SUBCONTRACTORS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PREQUALIFY and can submit their bids to the GCs allowed to bid this project. The Project is an interior renovation of the existing building. The scope includes but it is not limited to project modifications to new interior walls, doors, interior glazing, ceilings and finishes, compliance with current life safety codes, installation of an interior lift, and modifications to building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, telecommunications audiovisual, and plumbing).

The City advertised Request for Qualifications for the Downtown Library Renovation Project on June 3rd, 2024. In response, the City received six statement of qualifications proposals, of which four were selected to move forward to the interview phase of the selection process. The City conducted interviews with each of the four contractors and determined that all four were qualified to bid for the construction of the project. The prequalified contractors for the Downtown Library Renovation Project are:

  • Alten Construction, Inc
  • CWS Construction Group, Inc
  • FRC, Inc
  • Unger Construction Company

*Prequalified contractors are listed alphabetically, not based upon ranking.

Prequalified contractors can submit their proposal/bid on BidExpress no later than August 9th, 2024 at 3:00 PM PDT.
