At Monday’s City Council meeting, the Council will acknowledge Sean Prendiville, who is retiring from the Library Board after 13 years of service. In addition to serving as the Board Chair for several years, Sean has been an enthusiastic and vocal supporter of public library services in San Rafael; especially when helping draw crowds into at the pop-up Library at the Downtown Farmers Market. Thank you for your service, Sean!
The City Council will also recognize the recipient of the Citizen of the Year award, to be announced at the meeting. This annual award was established in honor of former Planning Commissioner Richard O’Brien and his wife, Mary Ferrario O’Brien and recognizes an individual in the San Rafael community who has made exceptional contributions to the City, making it a better place to live or work.
