San Rafael City Hall – Summer Hour Pilot Program
City Hall will be closed to the public on Fridays in July and August. City staff will continue to work on those days and will use the time for strategic and long-range planning activities and focused work that will bring benefits to the City. We hope this time will enhance productivity and support staff retention.
On Fridays in July and August, police, fire, and paramedic services will not affected; 9-1-1 calls will continue to be dispatched 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Public Works and Sanitation District crews will continue to work on the City’s infrastructure and respond to emergencies.
For assistance with reaching City Hall departments during Friday closures, such as making an appointment or requesting information about a City service, please call (415) 485-3070, and a member of the City’s team will be able to assist you.
Please use the following guidance for services at City Hall on Fridays.
Parking Services: Services are available at the Al Boro Community Center (50 Canal St.) on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
City Clerk: Services are available by appointment only.
Community and Economic Development: The Permit Center will be open by appointment only from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Actualización del horario del Ayuntamiento los viernes de julio y agosto
El Ayuntamiento permanecerá cerrado al público los viernes de julio y agosto. El personal municipal seguirá trabajando esos días y dedicará ese tiempo a actividades de planificación estratégica y a largo plazo y a trabajos específicos que reporten beneficios a la ciudad. Esperamos que este tiempo aumente la productividad y favorezca la retención del personal.
Los viernes de julio y agosto, los servicios de policía, bomberos y paramédicos no se verán afectados; las llamadas al 9-1-1 seguirán atendiéndose 24 horas al día, siete días a la semana. Las cuadrillas de Obras Públicas y del Distrito de Saneamiento continuarán trabajando en la infraestructura de la Ciudad y respondiendo a emergencias.
