The Community Development Department is seeking a full-time Senior Planner to join the Planning team. One of the most critical positions to the City’s Planning Division, the Senior Planner oversees the Community Development Department’s Planning program. The position will be overseeing advanced plan review, developing and researching policies and making important decisions as it relates to both major development projects and smaller planning-related activities such as single family home parcels.
The Senior Planner is a supervising role, and directly oversees the City’s five full-time planning staff in addition to managing consultants supporting the division. The position reports to Community Development Department Management, and provides key recommendations to both City leadership including elected officials
