We’re approaching the tail end of the Southern Height Bridge Replacement construction project that started in December 2020. The primary bridge structure has been completed but several items of work remain including timber fencing, paving, bridge lighting, new road signage, and other items. As part of the project, several eucalyptus trees were cut to a stump and one fallen tree was completely removed.
MMWD has hired a separate contractor to install a waterline along the bridge with an anticipated start date of October 18th. After their work has been completed, the City’s contractor will continue finishing the remaining items on this project. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of November.
