The final striping has now been installed at Public Works’ Spinnaker Pt. Parking Modifications project.  The parking stalls are now open and available for public use.  This project began in October 2022 and is now complete.

The Spinnaker Pt. Parking Modifications project has provided an additional 16 parking spaces in the Canal area. Existing parking stalls that were striped as parallel parking were re-aligned to create angled parking stalls.  The project also created a new retaining wall and irrigation system, a new accessible pathway from Spinnaker Point to the Al Boro Community Center, and four new streetlights to improve public visibility.  Benches have been installed to allow the community a place to enjoy the view of the Canal, and two parking stalls have been marked as “Public Shore Parking” in compliance with our BCDC (San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission) environmental permit.
