The Department of Public Works Parks Division is integral to maintaining the City. They work tirelessly to maintain the City’s Parks to maximize the enjoyment for San Rafael residents and visitors. They maintain the City’s many roadsides and medians, performing major pruning, weed suppression, and trimming. They play a crucial role in pre-storm preparations in cleaning storm water catch basins and actively work storms to protect the City from flooding.
In 2022, the Parks Division Team was honored with the Team of the 2nd Quarter and, ultimately, Team of the Year. We, as a department, are incredibly proud of this group of individuals who each bring their own passion and enthusiasm to what they do. We see their daily dedication to the City and are grateful to call them coworkers, teammates, and friends.
