Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) Form 700
The Political Reform Act (Gov. Code §§ 81000-91014) requires most state and local officials and employees to disclose their personal assets and income publicly. They must also refrain from decisions that could affect their personal financial interests.
Officials identified in Gov. Code § 87200 or the City's conflict of interest code must file a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700). This form ensures transparency and accountability by:
- Informing the public of officials' financial interests to prevent self-serving decisions.
- Reminding officials to avoid participating in matters involving conflicts of interest.
Form 700s are public records, available for inspection and copying during regular business hours, no later than two business days after receipt.
The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) requires the City to file original Form 700s with the FPPC for the following positions:
- Mayor: Kate Colin
- City Council: Maribeth Bushey, Eli Hill, Rachel Kertz, Maika Llorens Gulati
- Planning Commissioners: Samina Saude, Aldo Mercado, Jon Previtali, Jon Haveman, Jill Rodby, Stewart Summers, Danielle O'Leary, Jeff Kent
- City Manager: Cristine Alilovich
- City Attorney: Robert Epstein
- Finance Director: Paul Navazio
Other filers submit their original Form 700s to the City Clerk and can be found online!
