Earlier this month, the San Rafael and Marinwood Fire Departments held a promotion and recognition ceremony: a celebration of family, service, and accomplishment.
- #1 Badges were awarded to Battalion Chief Matt Windrem, Fire Captain Andy Rogerson, and Firefighter/Paramedic Graham Winkelman, and Fire Engineer Jason Schmitt.
- Numbered badges were awarded following the successful completion of probation to the following department members: Fire Engineer Kyle Kleinschmidt, Firefighter/Paramedic Dan Rotwein, Firefighter/ Paramedic Braden Burrhus, and Firefighter/Paramedic Colton Beal.
- Our three new Fire Captains were recognized for their recent promotions: Anthony Alviso, John Papanikolaou and Richard Rojo.
- Fire Captain Alviso was also recognized as Firefighter of the Year.
- The Fire Chief also recognized Assistant City Manager Cristine Alilovich for her leadership and support.
I echo the Fire Chief in congratulating all of our honorees at the promotion and recognition ceremony, and appreciate the hard work of our first responders.
