Traffic changes: Tamalpais West is closed to northbound traffic between Mission Ave and Fourth Street; and closed to southbound traffic from Fourth to Third St.
Bike to Work Month encourages commuters and others to get out of their car and use a bicycle to get to and from their work. Safe paths for bicyclists are essential to make riding a real possibility for commuters. The City will conduct a pilot project from May 7 to 11 to coincide with Bike to Work Week, however, the bike lane will remain in place through May so that the City may collect sufficient data.
This temporary change will include signage, striping, and lane delineators to replicate what a permanent change may feel like. This will provide a good opportunity for public feedback and for the City to evaluate the usage and effect on traffic, pedestrian and bicycle safety, and parking.
