After a long delay, the traffic signal cabinet and controller have finally arrived at the Public Works corp yard. The consultant has begun the process of assembling the new cabinet and controller this week. It must run in the shop for a several days to make sure it is functioning property before we send it out to the field. The electrician will be back starting March 23 to install the mast arms (the things that hold the signal heads over the roadway) and there will be some lane closures from 9am – 3pm while they complete their work. The San Rafael High School crosswalk project was made possible by Transportation Authority of Marin Measure AA Safe Pathways funding and was a joint effort with San Rafael City Schools.
