The City of San Rafael will be sending out weekly project updates with construction updates, traffic closure updates, and other relevant information for this project. To receive these updates, please sign up using the form at the left-hand side of the project website.
On Monday, February 7, 2022, the San Rafael City Council awarded the Third Street Rehabilitation construction contract to Ghilotti Brothers. Construction is anticipated to begin in late February 2022 and last around 18 months.
NEXT WEEK (February 21-25): The contractor will start potholing to identify the location of utilities and identify potential conflicts.
IMPACTS: Expect lane closures and road work eastbound on Second Street between 9 am and 6 pm and west bound on Third and Second Streets from 6 am to 3 pm.
