In November, the City Council considered an ordinance limiting parking time to reduce long term vehicle storage on certain public streets. These amendments will result in changes that allow for enforcement of parking limits by defining the hourly limit, the distance a vehicle must move, and for how long it must be moved, in order to not be considered stored on the City street. On Tuesday evening, the matter is being brought back to clarify, among other things, the requirement of having to move a vehicle at least 100 feet away from its original parked location. The ordinance would provide these tools in general, but implementing them in specific areas would subsequently require proper signage, notification, and City Council review. READ STAFF REPORT
