Come join us for a rewarding summer working for the City of San Rafael at one of our outdoor swimming pools. We encourage applicants with teaching experience, working with children, or with previous experience as a swim instructor to apply.

Pay Range: $17.50-$27.15/hour

About the position:

Under general supervision, swim instructors are responsible for the instruction of swim lesson programs and may be assigned to teach group or private lessons for children six months through adults. Instructors are also required to assist as needed in an emergency at the pool.

Swim instructors must demonstrate the skills for the class that they are teaching and ensure the safety of all swimmers in their class. Certification in American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor is desirable but not required.
