City Hall and other offices will be closed to the public from December 23 to January 3, but appointments are available upon request. Public safety and emergency services remain available 24/7.  

Woodland Avenue Sewer Improvement Project (Sanitation District)

Project Goals

  • Replace existing sewer collection pipe and lower laterals
  • Install new sewer main under Woodland Place
  • Flip Woodland Place upper and lower laterals from existing direction of flow to the new sewer main

Construction $1,152,907

 

The San Rafael Sanitation District (SRSD) is working on this project which includes the replacement and/or relocation of sewer mains serving the neighborhood within the area of Woodland Avenue from Lindaro Street to B Street to include portions of Lindaro Street, B Street, Woodland Place and Octavia Street.  The project has been awarded to Westland Contractors, Inc.  There are no anticipated road closures, however, residents within the area should expect traffic delays once construction is underway.  More details on traffic control plans will be provided once a Contractor has procured its encroachment permit with the City's Department of Public Works.

Specific areas of work are as follows:

  • Woodland Avenue from Lindaro Street to B-Street
  • Octavia Street from Woodland Avenue to C Street
  • All Woodland Place
  • Portions of B Street from Woodland Avenue to 1st Street
  • Approximately 200-ft of Lindaro Street from the intersection of Woodland Avenue
